In these most challenging times, it is vital that we consciously engage in practices to enhance our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. I remember the late Wayne Dyer offering a continuum for considering our health: Illness—->Health—->Wellness. He defined Health as the absence of illness and urged us to go beyond Health to Wellness. Wellness is a state of total vibrant Wellbeing—So let’s aim for WELLBEING!!
Caring for Yourself: Practical Approaches
Many of the following practices will support multiple and in some cases all areas of your health—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual
- EXERCISE: aerobic, strength, stretching
- EXERCISE & FRESH AIR: walk, run, bike, snowshoe or other forms of exercise in Nature—the energy at the ocean is some of the most restorative energy available to you
- Yoga
- DIET-Eat nourishing food-balanced diet of healthy food
- (and enjoy what you eat—negative thoughts like “I shouldn’t be eating this,” put lower vibrations into your body and impair your digestion. Want to splurge on a dessert or candy? Eat it with joy and gratitude.)
- VITAMINS, SUPPLEMENTS: From your local natural health store, a naturopath, or other natural health specialist learn ways to care for your body and boost your immune system naturally with vitamins and supplements. For example, there is research to support the role of taking Vitamin D3 in preventing virus/flu.
- SLEEP: (adults 7-9 hrs. a night) Sleep is when your body heals and regenerates. When we are tired, we are more prone to depression, anxiety, sadness, and other heavy emotions.
- Warm baths in relaxing bath oil/salts
- HYDRATION: Drink plenty of water each day. Our bodies are 80% water and chronic dehydration is a contributing factor in many illnesses.
- ENERGY TREATMENTS: Massage, Reiki, Biofield Tuning, Integrated Awareness

- Donna Eden Daily Energy Routine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Di5Ua44iuXc I began doing this weeks ago and in just a few days, I could feel a difference. I now have so much energy—I’m really amazed. I don’t feel exhausted at the end of my day. I have greater clarity, focus, and optimism…and I reduced my caffeine intake without any effort—I just found I didn’t need or want it.
